She graduated from the Russian Language High School and the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Sofia. Since 1990 she has been an assistant professor at the Department of Conservative Dentistry at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Medical University, Sofia. She has two recognized specialties in General Dental Medicine and Operative Dentistry and Endodontics. In 2013 she defended her doctoral dissertation on "Glass-ionomer cement as a biomaterial for the treatment of proximal caries of masticatory teeth ("sandwich" fillings).” Since 2015 she has been an associate professor at the Department of Conservative Dentistry.
She is the author of monographs "Dental Caries - Biological Healing Aspects" and “Glass-ionomer Cements and Dental Caries”, co-author "The Complex World of Endodontics”. She has over 55 articles in foreign or Bulgarian journals and over 70 papers at international and national congresses and conferences. Her scientific works in foreign and Bulgarian scientific literature have been cited. She has participated as a lecturer in various international and national scientific forums. Leads and participates in research projects.
Interests: endodontic anatomy and regenerative endodontic therapy; biomechanical removal of infected dentin; glass-ionomer cement; digital dentistry.
