From Bulgaria to America

I am a typical example of Generation X; hardworking, resilient, highly educated, adaptable to change, moving ahead despite obstacles, yet adventurous and often criticized for the disdain of the authorities. 

The lecture is about my journey from Bulgaria to the USA. Did I fulfill a dream, or was it a series of events, fate and curiosity which led me to the present day? It may be an interesting story for many; those that have always regretted not venturing outside their comfort zone, who never dare to go or think outside the box. 

How is dentistry taught at a top Ivy League school? What does it mean to be a solo private practicing dentist? Being a Female dentist; a privilege or disadvantage? How do large organized dental corporations and insurance companies challenge the dentistry profession? 

How are relationships between dentists and dental labs maintained?

Bulgarian-graduated dentists and lab technicians practicing in the USA share some personal thoughts and opinions about the work and life balance in this fast-paced era we live in.

The world is becoming more cosmopolitan and globally oriented. There are no longer defined borders in anything. Dentistry has changed and it will continue to change. Are doctors/dentists to be without borders as well?
