Laboratory and experimental effect of a composite material with an antibacterial effect on cariogenic microorganisms in the oral cavity

The problem of secondary caries in modern dentistry remains relevant. The material of choice for filling carious cavities is composite filling materials, which have high mechanical and aesthetic properties. However, the materials shrink, which is accompanied by microleakage and possibilities of appearance of secondary caries. In our study, we added an antibacterial component to the composition of the composite filling material and studied its effect on cariogenic microorganisms and the change in the physical and mechanical properties of the material depending on the added substance.
