APPLICATION OF DIGITAL ARCHIVE WITH ZUB STUDIO FOR PREDICTABILITY AND EVALUATION OF ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT

Aim:
To define the possibilities for evaluation of orthodontic treatment by ZUB Studio digital archive. Materials and methods:
Twenty orthodontic patients aged 20 to 60 years were observed. All patients were diagnosed with a dento-alveolar malocclusion. 10 patients were treated with Roth 018" buccal braces, 10 were treated with DENT@LIGN aligners. The dental arches were scanned before, during and after the orthodontic treatment with Trios 3 Shape. Virtual setup and motivational models were made. The results were obtained by superimposition of 3D models from the corresponding stages. Results: In 9 patients the treatment with DENT@LIGN was completed according to the virtual analysis. In one patient an additional step of aligners was required. Six patients treated with the fixed technique needed a finishing stage with 1 to 3 steps of aligners. The superimposition from ZUB Studio showed that the treatment planned and committed with DENT@LIGN was more controlled and predictable. ZUB Studio allows the creation of a digital archive for unlimited time. Conclusion: Our software tool ZUB Studio, makes the comparative analysis of the treatment progress possible. A digital archive of patients is created, with the possibility to add information about the facial growth over time. It is possible to assess the predictability and accuracy of the planning and the implementation of the treatment, development of relapses.
