Direct Anterior Composite Resins: When Simplicity Meets Aesthetics

In our daily practice we have different demands from the patients and clinical situations. Different composite resin systems has been developed to solve this challenges in a way to try to simplify the procedures in anterior teeth.
The layering techniques with composite resins was described some years ago and we used often in our clinical practice. Some of these techniques use several different opacities and increments of composites, leading to the dentist get confused in deciding which one to choose. The clinical reality of most dental clinics are based on simple procedures, easy to perform with suitable aesthetic and long-lasting results. Some simple layering techniques and simpler and effective restorative materials makes the dentist daily work simple and predictable, enabling making aesthetic and invisible composite resin restorations.
In this lecture we will present a step by step simplified technique for direct anterior esthetic restorations, using only two opacities of composite resin from the planning to the finishing and polishing.
